A Qualified Pool

Determine qualified pool of subcontractors and suppliers, including preferred  subcontractors from client.

Making Contact

Contact 2-4 subcontractors or suppliers in each major cost category

Plans & Specs

Provide preliminary plans and specifications to potential subcontractors and suppliers.

Procure, Evaluate, & Review Bids

Procure all viable bids within 2-3 weeks. Evaluate bids and seek clarification, if necessary. Review all actual bids in a pre-construction meeting with the client and propose preferred subcontractors and suppliers. 

Launch

Send purchase order to mutually agreed upon subcontractors and suppliers.

With more than a decade of experience in medical sales and  business development, Katie joined Primus Companies in  spring of 2021 and has been responsible for all aspects of the  company’s business relationships throughout the Southeast.  

Prior to joining Primus, Katie was territory manager for both  Tennessee and Kentucky with Ossurs’ Orthotics and  Prosthetics team, where she sold, managed, and distributed  $1.5 million per year in medical devices. She has extensive  experience within the medical industry and is passionate  about serving clients from start to finish. Katie attributes her  hard-working and competitive nature to her years spent as a  college athlete in Dallas, TX where she grew up.  

Outside of Primus, Katie loves to ski in the Rockies & Lake  Tahoe, and relax at her lake home in the suburbs of Nashville,  TN. She and her husband also invest in real estate, buying and  flipping properties. When they are not working, they enjoy  spending time with their 3 dogs and cat, watching movies,  cooking/grilling (more so her husband doing the cooking and  she does the eating). They also hope to start their own family,  in the future.

With over 30 years of experience, Chris has designed just about every type of building and brings the same level of commitment and dedication to each project. Whether designing a $25 million middle school or a small tenant improvement for a dentist, Chris prides himself on being an advocate for the client and end users.

He focuses on creating  buildings that are functional, create visual impact and achieve  the client’s vision, all with an eye to the budget. Prior to  joining Primus in 2013, Chris worked on higher education, K-12  education, municipal, historic preservation and private  development projects, among others. At Primus, he has been  the lead designer on dental and veterinary projects while also serving as project architect on other project types, thereby allowing others within the firm to focus on those small medical  office projects. 

Outside of work, Chris is active in several community organizations, having served on the boards of local, state and  national organizations. He serves as a trainer at conferences around the country on such subjects as sustainability and historic preservation. In his limited free time, Chris likes to travel, go to movies, spend time with friends and ride the trails on his mountain bike.

Andrew has been involved with numerous projects during his career. These projects range from small imaging centers to one-million square foot medical centers.
